This Halloween Coca Cola brought trick-or-treating into the future, with a never been done before webAR experience at 5 haunted Coca Cola vending machines on USC campus. The treats ranged from rare AR Snapmasks, to NFT’s, Puma merch and the highest prize of all, VIP tickets to Coachella.
We wrapped select Coca Cola vending machines in QR code caution tape. Once scanned you’d be led to a 3D map showing all 5 haunted vending machines. With the webpage open, once you arrived at a vending machine an immersive AR experience would transform your world revealing your treat in front of your eyes. Then all you had to do was collect your treat and claim it on Halloween.
